The winter Pre-Travel Academy is specially indicated for U9s, U8s and high level U7s more serious about soccer, that excel in their teams and need a more competitive and challenging environment to develop as young athlete. The Pre-Travel Academy is designed to provide that competitive atmosphere while furnishing the players with positive experiences to nurture their self-esteem, confidence and passion for the game.

CSC professional staff will apply age appropriate training curriculum focused primarily on foot skills and introduction of basic soccer concepts in order to offer highest development program for U9s – U7s players.

CSC will form Pre-Travel Academy teams for the Winter 2019-2020 that will train with CSC professional staff indoors once a week during the season, there may be some outdoor as well. Indoor sessions will be held at West Rock Indoor Turf Complex with goals to enhance foot skills.

Players will have the opportunity to continue their progression through the spring seasons.
The Pre-Travel Academy Teams will most likely become the base of the CSC U8 and U9 Travel Teams for the Fall 2020.

General Goals

1st – To Improve players technical Skills (Dribbling-1v1, Passing-Receiving and finishing)
2nd – To Make smarter soccer players (THINKERS) – Start working on their perception and decision making depending on game situation (on/off the ball).
3rd – To Improve basic motor skills (Coordination, balance and agility)
5th – To convey passion and love for the sport of soccer.
4th – To prepare players for the jump to travel soccer at U9.
